Problème d'affichage de graphique avec Matplotlib

comme dans la vidéo "tracer une courbe avec matplotlib", quand je code:
df.groupby("date")["price_paid"].sum().plot
j'ai un retour de type objet (<pandas.plotting._core.plotaccessor 0x000002e6e75c1d30="" at="" object="">) et pas d'erreur, mais le graphique n'est pas affiché.
j'ai installé matplotlib et cherché la réponse mais je ne comprends pas...
pouvez vous m'aider svp?
